Vanessa V. Christie
Vanessa Christie attended and graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2001. She worked with Greenspan Partners part-time and during the summers of law school. She completed her articles with the firm and became an associate with Greenspan Partners upon being called to the bar in 2002. She became a partner of the firm at the beginning of 2013.
She has appeared as counsel at all levels of Court throughout Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada. She has also appeared as counsel in New Brunswick, Quebec, Alberta and British Columbia. She practices primarily criminal law, however, she also has experience in administrative and disciplinary matters.
Vanessa Christie has extensive trial experience, including numerous jury trials.
She has appeal experience at all levels of Court in Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada.
She has experience in disciplinary matters, specifically appearing as counsel on a number of matters before the Law Society of Upper Canada.
Vanessa’s experience in administrative matters includes appearing as counsel before the Ontario Racing Commission. Vanessa has also appeared as counsel at a coroner’s inquest.
Vanessa's experience in public inquiries includes The Commission of Inquiry into Certain Allegations Respecting Business and Financial Dealings Between Karlheinz Schreiber and the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney in Ottawa and The Missing Women Commission of Inquiry in Vancouver, British Columbia.
